Beijing Taxi production phase IV February 2008

We arrived on Chinese new years eve for this shoot. We spent new years eve and day with Bai and his large family an hour outside of Beijing in a coal mining town where he grew up. He has four brothers and a sister, with an 80 year old father who was a coal miner his whole life. One day we spent with Zhou Yi and family at the Miao Hui - Chinese new year fair. This was the first time, after over a year, I finally got to meet Zhou Yi's daughter and his two dogs! He's gotten much more comfortable with us over time... Lots of intimate moments, even though it was only 5 short days of shooting..
